Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering in Attica, IN. You will lead manufacturing process optimization, equipment development, and project execution to improve safety, cost, and quality across production lines.

You will manage design engineers and contractors, drive lean initiatives, and ensure seamless transitions of tooling from design to production. A strong technical base and leadership of 10+ years are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or technical field required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience required.
• Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Relocate if necessary (we cover that).

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing capabilities and efficiency of capital equipment, direct labor, cost, processes and quality.
• Own equipment development and fabrication projects; automate or replace processes with latest tech.
• Manage equipment design engineers and outside contractors; coordinate installation and qualification of equipment.
• Improve safety, process, cost, quality and production methods through ME projects and root-cause analysis.
