Job summary

DwyerOmega is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Lake Shore Cryotronics Sensors products in Westerville, OH. You will be paired with a mentor and participate in both office and lab environments to drive process improvements in manufacturing.

The role requires pursuing an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, a 3.0 GPA or higher, and familiarity with Word/Excel. SolidWorks experience is a plus, and strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Interest or experience in 3D modeling/printing (SolidWorks is a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how things work.
• Comfortable using basic tools (mills or lathes a bonus).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, and execute a real process improvement initiative.
• Analyze product lines, identify inefficiencies, and propose smart solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design fixtures using 3D modeling tools.
• Work side-by-side with professional engineers and cross-functional teams.
