DwyerOmega is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Lake Shore Cryotronics Sensors products in Westerville, Ohio. You will be paired with a mentor and gain hands-on experience in both office and lab environments, focusing on driving process improvements in manufacturing.

The role offers exposure to real-world projects, mentorship from engineering professionals, and opportunities to develop cross-functional collaboration skills within a respected measurement company.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Interest or experience in 3D modeling/printing (SolidWorks is a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how things work.
• Comfortable using basic tools (bonus if you’ve used mills or lathes).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Plan, document, and execute a real process improvement initiative.
• Problem Solving: Analyze product lines, identify inefficiencies, and propose smart solutions.
• Engineering Design: Create and maintain technical documentation and design fixtures using 3D modeling tools.
• Team Collaboration: Work side-by-side with professional engineers and cross-functional teams.
