Job summary

Vantive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This internship provides hands-on experience in a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment.

The Intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, and operations personnel to support process improvements, equipment optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to product quality, operational

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, Biomedical, or related engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with manufacturing process improvement projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing
  • Assist with equipment validation, process qualification, and documentation activities.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Support production trials, process studies, and equipment performance evaluations.
  • Create reports, presentations, and visual management tools to communicate project progress and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
  • Observe and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
