Job summary

RENK America is offering a summer internship in Manufacturing Engineering focused on engines and transmissions for military ground vehicles. The intern will design or write statements of work, procure fixtures and tools, and write process updates.

Experience in machining, GD&T, and reading prints is valued; opportunity to work in CNC planning and continuous improvement on the production floor with real data and photos for process books.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Ability to move in a manufacturing environment and read prints.
• Familiarity with GD&T and metric measurements.
• Interest in engines, transmissions and CNC processes.

Responsibilities

• Designing or drafting statements of work to specify and procure fixtures, equipment, and tools.
• Writing process updates and documenting procedures.
• Performing CNC programming or planning manufacturing operations.
• Leading Continuous Improvement on the production floor (safety, tooling, cycle times).
• Updating the manufacturing engineering process book with photos and flow observations.
