Job summary

Brunswick New York Mills Operations is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the Manufacturing Engineering Team in New York Mills, MN. The role focuses on sustaining production and launching new processes across fabrication, welding, paint, upholstery, and final assembly, reporting to a Manufacturing Engineer.

The internship runs May through August 2027, is full-time, on-site, and pays $18.00–$27.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Engineering student with >= 80 credits toward ME/Manufacturing/Industrial Eng.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with Solidworks or Draftsight.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD (Solidworks)
• Design and construct workstation benches, layouts, and assembly aids
• Create and update manufacturing documentation for NYM boats; gather as-built data
• Complete time studies and assist with process improvements and labor balancing
• Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering on changes
• Be a contributor on cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Respond to requests from other departments
• Carry out cross-functional assignments and projects
• Maintain OBMS, AutoCAD, and MS Office knowledge
• Record and analyze data
• Internship full-time May–August 2027
• Internship project opportunities: support MY26 product launch; time studies and labor balancing; continuous improvement activities
