Job summary

Brunswick New York Mills Operations is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the Manufacturing Engineering Team in New York Mills, MN. You will assist in sustaining current production and launching new processes and products for Lund and Crestliner brands, reporting to a Manufacturing Engineer.

The role involves 3D CAD design, workstation layouts, and creating manufacturing documentation. Requires SolidWorks experience, 80 credits toward an engineering degree, and US work

Qualifications

• An engineering student with at least 80 credits toward a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are preferred.
• Experience using SolidWorks, DraftSight, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Design and construct workstation benches, layouts, and assembly aids.
• Create and update manufacturing documentation for NYM boats; capture as-built data.
• Complete time studies and assist with process improvements and labor balancing.
• Work with Product Development and Engineering to investigate and implement engineering change notices.
• Contribute to problem solving, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to requests from other departments as necessary; carry out cross-functional projects.
• Maintain knowledge of systems like OBMS, AutoCAD, and MS Office; record and analyze data.
