Job summary

FALCATA Defense & Space Systems Division in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Aid to support low-quantity, high-mix electronics manufacturing. You will assist multiple engineering and production teams with documentation, material coordination, and shop-floor activities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience; degree in lieu of experience accepted.
• Experience managing MES to improve production flow and traceability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process specifications.
• Prepare RFQ data packages with correct drawings, specifications, revisions, and delivery requirements.
• Generate purchase requisitions for lab supplies, tooling, calibration, and capital equipment.
• Familiarity with MES, PLM, and Deltek Costpoint systems.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Use PLM, ERP, and other systems to manage product data, BOMs, and work orders.
• Support SMT and electronics manufacturing activities, including material staging and documentation.
• Maintain calibration records, certificates, and service databases.
• Track material shortages and route kits according to program priorities.
• Ensure training records are current and compliant for controlled operations.
• Help maintain safety compliance and EHS documentation.
• Communicate changes effectively across teams and document procedures.
• Assist with shop tasks and prototype builds to meet delivery schedules.
