Job summary

Layup Parts is hiring a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to own complex customer programs from initial evaluation through production launch and steady-state manufacturing. You will lead cross-functional teams across customers, manufacturing, quality, production, supply chain, and software to deliver on commitments.

You will turn ambiguous requirements into production-ready processes, drive schedules, identify risks, and mentor engineers to build scalable manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace/defense or similar complex hardware environments.
• Experience leading complex manufacturing programs from development through production with ownership across workstreams.
• Deep composites manufacturing expertise including prepregs, tooling, ply development and complex multi-piece molds.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex customer programs from evaluation through tooling, qualification and production launch.
• Own program execution across multiple workstreams, managing schedules and risks.
• Develop and own manufacturing strategy including tooling concepts, material selection, and work instructions.
• Translate customer requirements into executable manufacturing plans and resolve technical issues.
