Job summary

Tempur Sealy International in Richmond, California, is seeking a Manufacturing/Quality Engineer to implement safe, efficient processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.

You will perform risk assessments, lead audits, drive corrective actions, and use data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab) to monitor KPIs and support product launches. A Bachelor's in Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years' manufacturing experience are required; up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
• Auditor certification experience is a plus.
• Experience with quality control and process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).
• Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab).
• Occasional travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Implement standard manufacturing processes that are safe, efficient, and produce high-quality products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
• Perform risk assessments and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Support investigations into safety incidents and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
• Use data analysis tools to monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and new technologies to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with corporate Safety and Quality Teams to ensure focus on organization priorities.
• Assist with product launches, product spec meetings, and best practice sharing across the network.
• Manage all quality related internal and external plant audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary : $ 90,000- 109,600

What You’ll Need (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
• Auditor certification experience is a plus.
• Experience with quality control and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Occasional travel (up to 25%) will be required.
