Job summary

Magna Engineered Glass in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development, start-up, and continuous improvements for new programs and rolled processes. You will shape workflows, define operations, and support tooling and documentation on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on machining and automotive engineering experience, GD&T proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills. You will collaborate across functions, implement changes, train teams, and uphold quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience creating Manufacturing Process Prints, Standard Work Instructions, and Job Element Sheets.
• Automotive engineering background required with preferred experience in injection molding, bonding, soldering, assembly or stamping.
• Hands-on experience running and troubleshooting machinery with aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient in GD&T and Microsoft Office; SolidWorks experience.
• Strong problem-solving using 5 Why methodology and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flows and define manufacturing operations for new part quotes.
• Lead PFMEA with cross-functional teams.
• Specify and source new equipment; manage rollout to the production floor.
• Create Standardized Work, Job Element Sheets, and related documentation.
• Coordinate manufacturing projects as the primary point of contact.
• Support CI and safety improvement initiatives.
