Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Machining industry experience preferred.
• Experience in machining processes and tool management.
• Proficient with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve problems quickly and make recommendations for long term solutions.
• Investigate new methods of manufacturing or technology to improve current processes, increase capacity and throughput.
• Communicate effectively with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Planning and other cross-functional departments.
• Coordinate design, documentation, installation, debugging, and setup of new fixturing or tooling.
• Operate manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment
• Participate in release of the new products and technology to manufacturing
• Participate in the development and preparation of technical work instructions for manufacturing.
• Maintain current files of engineering specifications for applicable fixtures & processes.
• Work independently with general supervision.
