Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking an engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for their products in a hands-on engineering environment.

You will work with design engineers to improve quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction, while implementing new methodologies for material handling, machining, and assembly. The role requires 3–5+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Applied knowledge of related manufacturing operations.
• Experience with machining processes, ideally stainless steel, welding operations.
• Lean/5S/KanBan experience preferred.
• GD&T experience is very desirable.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain work definition for product manufacturing, including routings and time studies.
• Develop and update work instructions for technicians.
• Engage in product automation tasks to drive efficiency.
• Collaborate with design engineers to update designs for quality, cycle time and customer satisfaction.
• Develop processes and process instructions by studying requirements and researching/manufacturing methods.
• Provide manufacturing cost analyses and assist with production planning.
