Job summary
JVIS in Clinton Charter Township, Michigan, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize tooling and processing conditions during design and program phases. Implement Engineering Change Routing for customer and internal requests and ensure all engineering docs are processed correctly and on time.
The role partners with program, manufacturing, and quality teams to front-load manufacturing, support APQP, and launch new programs while maintaining TS 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years automotive experience with injection molded parts/assemblies.
- GD&T experience (minimum 2 years).
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, HMI software, and Fanuc robot controls.
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects, Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Front-load and optimize manufacturing processes for each program.
- Assist with APQP process implementation.
- Support launches of new programs with customers, manufacturing and quality.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns with tooling and processes.
- Ensure compliance with TS 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
- Follow safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
- Coordinate and maintain job responsibilities flexibly.
