Job summary

MetaOption, LLC, located in North Carolina, seeks a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to define, research, develop, justify, implement, and sustain safe and cost-effective manufacturing equipment, processes, and tooling. The role emphasizes Lean principles, safety, quality, and productivity across projects and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Distribution & Logistics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years related work experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Technical skills in manufacturing processes including flow, layouts, assembly, machining, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers, responding promptly to inquiries and meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to and manage small projects interfacing with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.
• Develop, document, specify, and justify new machinery, equipment, tooling, and automation specifications.
• Analyze requests for changes in methods of manufacture to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, and compatibility with existing equipment.
• Recommend and develop Manufacturing and Logistics methodologies to reduce waste, shorten cycle times, and improve product quality.
• Create and modify work instructions for use by others in the organization.
