Job summary

NOV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product designs for safe, efficient operations. You will provide hands‑on support on the shop floor, resolve process issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a cross‑functional setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with R&D, QA, and Supply Chain to ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and process optimization while maintaining thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or related engineering field.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing/engineering experience; internships/co-ops count.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs and technical docs.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and cross‑functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Design, modify and qualify production equipment and tooling.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to the shop floor.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve process and material issues.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support product quality initiatives and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and upgrades.
• Optimize process parameters for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including process specs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Supply Chain to align engineering solutions.
