Job summary

NOV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and improvements in assembly operations on site in the United States. The role focuses on SQDC performance, root-cause analysis, and Lean deployment to reduce waste and improve value flow.

You will collaborate with area leadership and product engineering to ensure manufacturability and implement new process qualifications. The ideal candidate has a strong problem‑solving background, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and 3+ years in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated competence in improving fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven track record in systematic problem‑solving.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, with 2+ years working directly with production equipment and maintenance.
  • Experience in implementing Lean thinking and tools, and in design and application of precision production tooling.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining production routers and work instructions.
  • Strong project management skills for problem‑solving and project execution.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Solidworks preferred.
  • Proficiency with MRP systems such as JDE or Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically to NOV offices and customer locations.
  • Commitment to observing safety regulations and attending safety training.

  • Ensure timely execution of new process qualification plans.
  • Support customer‑facing issues and safety concerns.
