Young Innovations is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support Manufacturing Operations through root cause analysis and disciplined problem solving. You will lead cross‑functional teams on new product launches, process improvements, and capital/automation projects, interfacing with all levels of manufacturing.

The role emphasizes waste reduction, reliability, and efficient tooling. CAD and 3D modeling skills, along with budgeting and scheduling, will drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience applying root cause analysis and disciplined problem solving.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams on process improvement projects.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes, tooling, and workflow efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve scrap, cycle time, and process variability issues.
• Collaborate with production, tooling, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency of equipment.
• Develop and refine standard process procedures to ensure high quality and repeatability.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects and transfers to manufacturing activities.
• Provide technical input on tool/equipment design and manufacturing feasibility.
• Oversee tooling/equipment trials, validations, and optimization.
• Develop project timelines and monitor progress, addressing risks or delays.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on project status and deliverables.
• Manage vendor quotation process – request, review, and compare offers for cost and compliance.
• Assist with tooling reviews and CAD modeling feedback.
• Support cost estimation, budgeting, and resource planning for projects.
