Job summary

Banner Engineering, headquartered in Minnesota, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations group to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality in a collaborative setting.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering and up to five years of experience. Expect travel to nearby facilities as part of daily responsibilities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 0–5 years of engineering experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Strong applied statistical skills to analyze manufacturing data and drive improvements.
• Knowledge of quality and CI methodologies including 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead FMEA sessions and reduce defects.
• Initiate quality alerts, stock checks, stop-work orders, line support, and corrective action requests.
• Provide quality-based customer support for Production and Business units.
• Collaborate with operators/technicians to identify process challenges and implement improvements.
• Analyze product concepts for assembly requirements and constraints.
• Manage projects improving issues found in product returns and supplier inspections.
• Collaborate with NPD and Plant Engineering to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
