Job summary

Crane Co. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support production and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes process development, troubleshooting, and efficiency gains while aiding new product introductions and sustaining production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
1–2 years of manufacturing engineering or related experience.
Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, process design, and SPC.
Experience with DFMEA, ISO 9001, and quality systems.
Proficiency with CAD tools in 2D and 3D.
Familiarity with machining, assembly, welding, and electro mechanical systems.
Exposure to automation, robotics, and PLC programming.
Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of production processes, materials, and cost drivers.
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Process Development: develop and implement cost effective manufacturing processes.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and cost.
Production Support & Problem Solving: troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Automation & Technology Integration: support automation, cobots, and integration of new equipment.
