Job summary

Superior Essex Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The role also supports the Maintenance Department to ensure equipment reliability and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include optimizing processes, implementing automation, evaluating product design feasibility, and maintaining SOPs while driving cost savings and safety compliance across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Technology is required.
• Experience with production systems, regulations, and standards.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D imaging software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and productivity.
• Implement automation techniques to enhance production.
• Analyze product design feasibility and recommend improvements.
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct cost analysis and propose cost-saving measures.
• Support process improvements and capital expenditure requests.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and breakdown resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and maintenance issues to minimize downtime.
• Train personnel on new processes and equipment.
• Provide backup support for cross-functional teams as needed.
