Job summary

Cindavi is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Lansing, Michigan to own a high-volume seat assembly program. You will balance a 20-station line, drive rate and efficiency, and manage PFMEAs and process documentation to keep the floor running smoothly.

You’ll coordinate with operators, quality, controls, maintenance, and customers, supporting new programs and process development while ensuring ISO and IATF 16949 compliance and driving safety and ergonomics improvements.

Qualifications

• PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process documentation created and maintained by the candidate.
• Experience balancing, rebalancing, or changing lines on an operator-driven, high-volume assembly line.
• Strong communication across engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and customers.
• Experience with line balancing, time studies, and workload redistribution to hit targets.
• Familiarity with ISO and IATF 16949 standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Rebalance a 20-station assembly line to hit rate and efficiency targets with time studies.
• Own documentation that keeps the floor running: PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, instructions, and audits.
• Support new program launches, tooling validation, and readiness training for new processes.
• Communicate daily across the plant from hourly line workers to the customer.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, ergonomics, and safety while staying compliant.
