Piston Automotive in Southfield, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to create, document, develop, and implement processes to assemble our products. You will manage projects from sourcing to SOP +90 days, supporting engineering changes and plant launches.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automotive manufacturing/assembly environments.
• Experience with robotics and automation integration.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned manufacturing projects.
• Develop capital budgets and equipment specifications for capital and tooling.
• Lead production process development from prototyping to SOP +90 days.
• Interface with machining, automation vendors, and customers as needed.
• Train teams on new equipment/process changes and ensure successful launches.
