Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an embedded production sustain engineer to be the first line of defense on the imaging production floor, diagnosing in-line issues, reducing downtime, and ensuring fast handoffs between assembly, integration, and test.

You will own ERP/MES data updates, perform rapid debugging and root-cause analysis, collaborate with technicians and engineers, and maintain clear work instructions and ECO/ECN changes to keep the line running to the current standard.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience supporting an active production line.
• Experience troubleshooting, testing, and assembling electromechanical hardware in a live production environment.
• Experience using MES and ERP to track yields, routing, and inventory.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Preferred: aerospace/defense or regulated industry experience; ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Embed on the production floor to rapidly respond to, diagnose, and resolve in-line production issues across assembly, integration, and test.
• Own the downtime response process, triage, drive, and close production downtime and non-conformance issues with cross-team coordination.
• Handle essential digital line operations, updates and troubleshooting within ERP and MES for accurate production tracking.
• Perform rapid debugging and root-cause analysis on failing hardware and processes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with technicians and assemblers to capture friction points and feed improvements back to design.
• Create, update, and maintain clear work instructions, SOPs, and rework procedures; manage ECO/ECN changes on the floor.
• Analyze line data to identify recurring failures and drive yield, throughput, and first-pass quality improvements.
