Job summary

Liberty Diversified International in Milford, IA seeks a 2nd Shift Production Lead to coordinate and lead a small flex production team. You will manage labor, material flow, safety, quality and production documentation while actively participating in manufacturing activities.

Reports to Production Supervisor for a 2ndShift operation including metal fabrication, machine operation and welding. Hours: Mon–Thu 3:30pm–1:30am with possible Friday overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution and 3+ years manufacturing experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience reading, writing, and completing detailed work instructions.
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Experience with computers (typing, printing, data entry).
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays availability as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, instruct, train, and coordinate with production team members on assigned shift.
• Assist Supervisor to address day-to-day production issues (staffing, material flow, equipment status).
• Provide technical support and problem-solving for shift employees.
• Maintain and update production metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale).
• Run and review reports to prioritize production activities (due dates, inventory).
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
