Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for LV electrical panels. You will partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective processes that meet quality standards.

Key duties include advising on product design for manufacturability, documenting specifications, optimizing panel design, creating poka-yokes, supporting assembly and testing, and developing SOPs to drive continuous improvement. 3–5 years in manufacturing is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical panel design, assembly and testing.
• Proficiency in CAD software and SAP experience a plus.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Engineering teams to provide feedback on product design for manufacturing.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation such as specifications and drawings.
• Analyzes and improves panel design to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develops templates/poka-yokes to increase productivity and ensure quality.
• Provides technical support for assembly, testing and packaging of LV panels.
• Develops and updates SOPs for production processes.
