Job summary

The Judge Group seeks a Welding/Manufacturing Engineer contractor in Illinois to support OFP, address quality concerns, and provide technical assistance to production operators. You will troubleshoot welding-related issues, partner with the Weld Manufacturing Engineering team on process improvements, and collaborate in a cross-functional setting to meet production goals.

A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, with 1–3 years' relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with engineering tools, systems, and databases.

Responsibilities

Support the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) by addressing quality concerns and providing technical assistance to production operators.
Troubleshoot welding-related production and tooling issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Partner with the Weld Manufacturing Engineering team on process improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment to support welding operations and achieve production goals.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement related to weld fixtures, process flow, quality, and productivity.
