Actalent in Canton, SD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, improve, and oversee production processes on-site, collaborating with production, quality, and design teams to drive efficiency and quality in an expansion project and new build.

You will apply Lean principles, analyze operations, develop documentation, and support new equipment introductions using CAD, ERP, and Excel, with 4–8 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of manufacturing experience with proven process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities; CAD/ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost control.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to optimize workflows.
• Analyze operations to identify waste reduction and improvement opportunities.
• Apply Lean principles to boost productivity and cut defects.
• Support new equipment and technology integration on the shop floor.
• Document designs using CAD/ERP tools and maintain process specs.
• Monitor metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to expansions and new build layouts and processes.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving for quality concerns.
