Job summary

Sioux Manufacturing in Fort Totten, ND is seeking an engineer to apply tools and techniques to support production operations and the development of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.

You will contribute to lean initiatives, review technical data packages, plan sequences of operations, prepare engineering documentation, train personnel, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery in a dynamic factory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or an associate degree with 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure preferred.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing support and troubleshooting processes and equipment.
• Review Technical Data Packages and determine materials, manpower, equipment, and tooling.
• Plan and establish sequence of operations to optimize resource use.
• Prepare engineering documentation such as Engineering Masters, Material Specifications and Process Documentation.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules for equipment, tooling, materials, and processes.
• Initiate and participate in Lean Manufacturing programs for continuous improvement.
• Programming of production equipment.
• Provide training for personnel in operation of new equipment and processes.
• Interface with internal and external sources to accomplish duties.
• Support quality management activities including root cause investigation and corrective actions.
