Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturing company in the Sturbridge, MA area. You will analyze and improve processes, support CNC machining, EDM, welding, finishing, assembly, and inspection, and develop engineering documentation and ECOs to ensure product readiness.

Candidates should have an engineering degree, hands‑on experience with CAD/Mastercam, and knowledge of Lean manufacturing and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• Experience through internships, co-ops, manufacturing roles, or relevant training.
• Knowledge of machining, metal fabrication, and finishing processes preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and process improvement methodologies.
• CAD experience and Mastercam proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Improve and streamline manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Support machining and production operations including CNC machining, EDM, welding, finishing, assembly, and inspection.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and ECOs.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to support manufacturing and process improvements.
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and vendors on product and process enhancements.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standardized procedures.
• Assist with new product launches and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, quality systems, and company standards.
