Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturing company in Sturbridge, MA. This on-site role focuses on improving and streamlining manufacturing processes across CNC machining, EDM, welding, finishing, assembly and inspection.

The ideal candidate brings an engineering degree, CAD/CAM and Mastercam proficiency, Lean/GD&T knowledge, and strong cross-functional collaboration. This full-time position offers solid salary, benefits from day one, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or related field.
Internships/co-ops in manufacturing or engineering roles are acceptable.
Experience with machining, metal fabrication, and finishing is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and process improvement methodologies.
Understanding of GD&T is a plus.
CAD experience required and Mastercam proficiency.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Improve and streamline manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Support machining and production operations including CNC machining, EDM, welding, finishing, assembly, and inspection.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and ECOs.
Utilize CAD/CAM software to support manufacturing and process improvements.
Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment solutions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and vendors on product and process enhancements.
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standardized procedures.
Assist with new product launches and manufacturing readiness activities.
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, quality systems, and company standards.
