Job summary

Selig Group in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve our manufacturing operations. You will develop, implement, and optimize processes with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, equipment reliability, and cost effectiveness.

You’ll collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and cross-functional teams to tackle technical challenges, drive continuous improvement, and support new product introductions on the production floor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and process improvement.
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Knowledge of PLC programming and CNC machining.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity.
Analyze processes to improve efficiency, throughput, reliability.
Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects.
Design and implement equipment, tooling, and automation solutions.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting for production equipment.
Support safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process specs.
Train technicians and operators on equipment and processes.
