Job summary

Selig Group, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

You will collaborate with production teams, design engineers, and quality control to ensure cost-effective production that meets standards. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, and production support.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), PLC programming, and CNC machining.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to train and mentor machine technicians and production staff in equipment usage and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Equipment & Automation: Design and implement new manufacturing equipment, tools, and automation solutions.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to optimize production.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify cost‑saving opportunities in materials, labor, and energy consumption without compromising quality.
  • Production Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production teams.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and reports on manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work with design engineers to develop products easier and more cost‑effective to manufacture.
  • Training & Development: Train new machine technicians and operators in equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Other Projects & Responsibilities: Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned to support goals.

Job Summary:
A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in process improvement, automation, and production support.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), PLC programming, and CNC machining.

Preferred Experience
  • Prior work in manufacturing industries.

Manufacturing Engineers work in the production facility, with some time spent in the office on design, planning, and documentation tasks. Working on‑site with machines, performing hands‑on troubleshooting, and ensuring production machines run efficiently.
