Thermal Corporation, a Nailor Industries brand, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead hands-on improvements across fabrication, welding, sheet metal, subassembly, final assembly, and shipping at the Rankin facility in Houston. The role focuses on safety, quality, throughput, and a reliable flow of fabricated material to assembly.

You will map current processes, identify constraints, design a future-state flow, and validate results with measurable data on the production floor in collaboration

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a closely related role with hands-on responsibility for improving fabrication and/or assembly processes.
• Proven success leading a production-flow, capacity, line-design, or material-flow improvement from analysis through implementation.
• Experience applying lean methods: process mapping, value-stream mapping, time studies, cycle-time and takt-time analysis, line balancing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Experience developing layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and improve fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing processes including cutting, drilling, welding, fixturing, and forming.
• Map current-state production and material flow; identify bottlenecks and non-value-added movement.
• Design and implement a future-state flow delivering correct fabricated components to assembly on time.
• Develop one-piece-flow assembly system including station layouts, sequences, and standard work.
• Establish pull signals, staging, kitting, visual controls, and part-tracking to reduce missing or unprocessed parts.
