Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for 1st shift in Wisconsin. The candidate will support current manufacturing, drive continuous improvement, and develop processes, tooling, and production controls for new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 1–3 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledge of formal problem solving methods, financial controls, and product costing.
• Experience with lean manufacturing practices and plant operations management preferred; alternative: 6 years of experience without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support current manufacturing and facilitate continuous improvement of processes.
• Develop new processes, tooling, and production controls for new products and programs; supervise assembly and proofing.
• Assist production to resolve manufacturing issues and coordinate new product development and cost-reduction activities.
• Manage capital equipment planning and procurement; maintain, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing software.
• Plan, supervise and execute work measurement and TAKT time; justify facility changes to meet forecasted volume.
