Job summary
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will analyze products and families and lead cost savings, quality, productivity, and safety projects. The role requires daily reporting to our Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana.
Primary duties include designing manufacturing routings, troubleshooting production problems, creating cost estimates, improving processes, and supporting capital improvement expenditures.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Experience with design and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with machining, fabrication and metal casting processes.
Responsibilities
- Designing manufacturing routings for parts and machines, focusing on quality and design intent.
- Troubleshooting production problems and developing permanent solutions.
- Creating cost estimates for projects and improvements.
- Improving current manufacturing processes and supporting capital expenditures.
