Job summary

Urschel, a leading manufacturer of industrial cutting equipment, is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to join our onsite EHS team at our Chesterton, Indiana headquarters. You will partner with teams to identify risks, develop practical solutions, and strengthen our safety culture to ensure every employee-owner goes home safely each day.

You will lead programs related to machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, and high-risk activities, while conducting audits,

Qualifications

• Three+ years supporting health and safety programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practical application.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs for machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, and confined spaces.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and hazard assessments; investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions.
• Deliver employee training and emergency preparedness initiatives; drive continuous safety improvements.
