Job summary
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks a Health & Safety Specialist to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team at our Chesterton, Indiana headquarters. You will partner with teams to identify risks, develop practical safety solutions, and strengthen our culture of safety by leading guarding, Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, and high-risk activities.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of manufacturing EHS experience, a solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations,
Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience supporting health and safety programs in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and their practical application
Responsibilities
- Identify risks and develop practical safety solutions across the organization
- Lead and support safety programs including machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety
- Conduct audits, inspections and hazard assessments; investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions
- Deliver employee training and support emergency preparedness and continuous improvement initiatives
