Job summary

Vermeer is seeking an Engineer - Manufacturing to support new product introductions and optimize manufacturing processes at the Pella, IA campus. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, troubleshoot production issues, and implement ECNs using PLM systems.

The role focuses on designing tooling, applying lean principles, and integrating automation to enhance safety, quality, and KPI performance. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in manufacturing engineering or related field required.
• Proficient with CAD tools and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introductions by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Respond to line calls and troubleshoot production issues to maintain safety and quality.
• Initiate and review ECNs using PLM systems (3DX/Teamcenter/Windchill).
• Design and validate tooling and fixtures to improve operator efficiency and KPIs.
• Apply lean principles to identify process improvements and JIT practices.
• Integrate automation and smart tools to reduce manual labor and improve consistency.
• Utilize CAD tools to support tooling and process design.
