Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking an Engineering Intern for a part-time role in Grand Rapids, MI. You will gain hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing while supporting the Engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position involves assisting with process optimization, tooling design, failure analysis, and documentation, collaborating with purchasing, quality, test and production teams to ensure product integrity.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university Engineering program (junior or senior preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes.
• Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing.
• Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields.
• Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained.
• Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment.
• Creating and updating work instructions.
• Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation.

This position is expected to work 20 hours/week, running 1/11 through 4/23

The Engineering Intern assists the Engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The position provides hands-on Engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program. Junior or Senior level, preferred. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline, preferred.


• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.
