Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Mesa, AZ is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team toward efficient production and strong performance. You will supervise, train and coach direct reports, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

This role requires five years in manufacturing, a BA/BS or equivalent leadership experience, and proficiency with Lean tools and MS Office. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• BA or BS or minimum four years leadership experience, preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in Manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact well and coach team members.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervises direct reports and provides departmental leadership.
• Trains, supports and monitors direct reports to ensure performance.
• Meets safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Monitors production schedules or pull system.
• Leads continuous improvement projects using LEAN tools.
• Writes and administers performance reviews.
• Provides coaching and development to team members.
• Provides data and reports as required.
• Oversees daily stand-up meetings and staffing.
• Evaluates labor requirements and overtime needs with Operations.
• Recommends solutions for equipment, process changes, etc.
• Resolves material issues with Purchasing.

Job description

The Production Supervisor leads their team to ensure efficient production and expected performance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to department
• Trains, supports and monitors and direct reports to ensure expected job performance
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals
• Monitors schedule requirements through Production schedules or Pull System
• Leads Continuous Improvement projects and processes using LEAN tools and concepts
• Evaluates performance of direct reports by writing and administering reviews in a timely manner
• Provides coaching and development to team members
• Provide data and reports as required
• Oversee daily stand- up meetings and provide support as needed
• Evaluates labor requirements and works with Operations/ Production Manager to assure proper staffing levels
• Determines and manages overtime needs throughout work cells
• Recommends solutions for new equipment, process changes, shift suggestions, overtime, etc.
• Resolves material issues by working with Purchasing and material management
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

• BA or BS or minimum four years leadership experience, preferred
• Minimum five years experience in Manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact well and coach team members
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
