Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in Mesa, AZ. You will drive safe, on-time production while coaching staff and coordinating with other departments.

The role requires a BS degree or equivalent and several years of manufacturing leadership, with lean experience and strong communication. You will supervise scheduling, training, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet goals.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree or equivalent; leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum four years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; computer skills required.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports and provide leadership to the department.
• Train, support, monitor, and coach reports to ensure performance.
• Meet and exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals.
• Monitor schedules through production schedules or pull system.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using LEAN tools.
• Evaluate performance via timely reviews; provide coaching.
• Provide data and reports as required; oversee daily stand-up meetings.
• Assess labor requirements and staffing with Operations/Production Manager.
• Determine and manage overtime needs; suggest process improvements.
• Resolve material issues with Purchasing and material management.

Job description

The Production Supervisor leads their team to ensure efficient production and expected performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to department
• Trains, supports and monitors and direct reports to ensure expected job performance
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals
• Monitors schedule requirements through Production schedules or Pull System
• Leads Continuous Improvement projects and processes using LEAN tools and concepts
• Evaluates performance of direct reports by writing and administering reviews in a timely manner
• Provides coaching and development to team members
• Provide data and reports as required
• Oversee daily stand- up meetings and provide support as needed
• Evaluates labor requirements and works with Operations/ Production Manager to assure proper staffing levels
• Determines and manages overtime needs throughout work cells
• Recommends solutions for new equipment, process changes, shift suggestions, overtime, etc.
• Resolves material issues by working with Purchasing and material management
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

• BA or BS or minimum four years leadership experience, preferred
• Minimum five years experience in Manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact well and coach team members
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
