Toyota Automated Logistics in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to provide technical leadership in identifying needed equipment for automated and manual assembly lines. You will help assess vendor capabilities and draft equipment specifications to support process development and operations.

The internship emphasizes hands-on design using 3D modeling (SolidWorks), advanced Excel data work, and collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Advanced Excel data manipulation and formulas
• Experience with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of MRP tools for planning/scheduling
• Willingness to travel within region to learn customer requirements
• Eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Identify manual and automated equipment needs for manufacturing and conveyor assembly
• Profile equipment manufacturers to support process development and operations
• Develop equipment specifications and documentation
• Create visual aids and work instructions for engineering and other functions
• Assist with quality by measuring parts and developing quality plans
• Assist in 3D model creation for engineered products and systems
• Create Value Stream Maps (VSM) current vs. optimal
• Contribute to product performance testing and analysis
• Adhere to assembly safety standards
• Perform similar duties as assigned
