Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks an Project Engineer Intern to learn the Systems group’s design and installation of automated material handling systems at national client sites.

You will assist in creating system layouts with AutoCAD, track installation progress, and participate in design tasks within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoMod or similar software is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn the roles within the Systems team and participate in designing layouts for automated material handling systems.
• Assist with AutoCAD drawings, quotes, spare parts orders, and general design tasks.
• Improve project execution processes (Gantt charts, CI) and understand material handling equipment, suppliers, and applications.

Job description

The Project Engineer Intern will work within our Systems group learning different aspects of the company. This group is responsible for designing and installing large automated material handling systems at national client sites. The intern will assist in designing system layouts using AutoCad and helping to track the installation progress.

Job Duties

• Learn the roles of each job within the Systems team
• Assist with AutoCAD drawings, quotes, spare parts orders, and other general design responsibilities
• Improve project execution processes (Gantts, continuous improvement)
• Develop in depth understanding of all facets of material handling to include equipment, suppliers, and applications
• Maintain consistent positive and enthusiastic attitude

Requirements

• Working on a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoMod or similar software
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Excellent technical problem solving capability (hardware, controls)
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
• Enjoys the Supply Chain Automation, Logistics Software business environment.
• Enjoy working in team environment
