Job summary

Safran DSI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support Operations and Engineering on the production floor. You will help build and document products, assist with daily troubleshooting, and identify improvements using Lean Six Sigma methods.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to tooling, test equipment, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You'll work with engineers and production staff to learn test plans, procedures, and manufacturability improvements

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a 4-year engineering program such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s.
Team player with a \"can do\" attitude.
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
Results driven and timely in deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task across a broad range of responsibilities.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.

Responsibilities

Assist Operations and Engineering in building and documenting products.
Help production personnel with daily build and troubleshooting.
Identify and implement improved processes using Lean Six Sigma concepts.
Assist with design and implementation of tooling and test equipment.
Train assembly personnel on processes and procedures.
Collaborate with Engineering, Programs and customers on test plans and procedures.
Support non-conformance activities and data collection for engineers.
