Job summary

Safran DSI Optronics in Bedford, NH is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support daily production operations, assist with inspections, testing, and quality assurance for electro‑mechanical assemblies. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or operations.
• Career interest in product development and test.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Good problem‑solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to set and accomplish goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues at all levels.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands‑on experience and learn from our quality engineers.
• Support the production of established programs in daily operations.
• Conduct final and in‑process inspection and periodic testing of electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Participate in Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action processes (MRB).
• Engage in continuous improvement using the DAMIC process and lean six sigma methods.
• Collaborate with all functional areas to ensure high quality of products and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
