Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support Operations and Engineering on product builds and process improvements on the Optronics line. You will assist with documentation, tooling, and troubleshooting on the production floor.

The role offers hands-on experience with electro-optical assemblies and Lean activities, developing skills in process documentation and manufacturing support in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year engineering program (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Team player with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations and Engineering on building and documenting products in Optronics.
• Document work instructions, process flows, routers and bills of materials.
• Aid production personnel with daily build and troubleshooting.
