Job summary

Safran DSI Optronics in Bedford, NH is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support daily production by assisting inspections, testing, and QA activities for electro-mechanical assemblies. This role offers hands-on learning with a focus on quality processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or operations.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across levels.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience and learn from quality engineers.
• Support production of established programs in daily operations.
• Conduct final and in-process inspection and periodic testing of electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Participate in Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (MRB team).
• Engage in continuous improvement using DAMIC and Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Collaborate with all functions to ensure high product and process quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
