Job summary

Spartronics in North Logan, UT is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer II/III focused on SMT and PCBA processes. You will own process development, documentation, and sustained improvements for high-reliability electronics assemblies, partnering with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements.

The role involves supporting solder paste printing, placement, reflow, inspection, and related operations, plus NPI involvement, DFМ/DFA, and root-cause problem

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in electronics manufacturing process engineering.
• Hands-on SMT/PCBA manufacturing process experience.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with NPI and/or DFM/DFA activities.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement knowledge.
• Ability to independently prioritize multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve SMT & PCBA processes from development through production.
• Support solder paste printing, placement, reflow, inspection and related operations.
• Analyze performance and drive improvements in yield, throughput and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and lead corrective actions.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams for SMT/PCBA issues.
• Support NPI from prototype to production release and DFМ/DFA reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and labor-efficiency improvements.
