Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to design, implement and review manufacturing processes and equipment for Parker products within a single facility. You will optimize production flow, lead process improvements, and support capital projects.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems, GD&T, data structures, and MS Office is expected along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of moderate to difficult scope and complexity.
• Continuous improvement methods (e.g. pull systems, process mapping, JIT).
• Working knowledge of data structures and database programming.
• Experience with CAD/CAM systems or other computer-aided manufacturing tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Process Flow: Plans and designs basic manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products.
• Determines equipment and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.
• Process Improvement: Develops and implements process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, yield, safety, and cost.
• Engineering Design Support: Provides guidance to engineering leadership regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensures more complex processes and procedures comply with regulations.
• Remediation: Investigates and suggests corrective action to ensure product quality and to resolve quality issues.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
